The Issues

Dion Green knows firsthand how gun violence can affect a community. After surviving the Dayton mass-shooting, Dion has become an advocate for gun safety and legislation that will curb gun violence through restrictions. Dion believes in putting lives before guns.

Dion undoubtedly believes in healthcare for all. Not only does he believe in physical health, but also mental and emotional health as well. Recent times have shown that there is a need for more focus mental health. Whether that means access to more testing, or resources to deal with crisis episodes, Dion wants to make sure that mental health  is a priority.

Dion Also believes in a woman's right to have full autonomy over their body. No one should be forced to carry a child to term at the demand of the government, or have their methods of contraception banned.

Education is one of the most important tools that any of us could have. That's why Dion believes in investing in our education system so that our children, the future leaders of tomorrow, will have all of the tools they need to succeed. Nothing is more important than preparing our children for adulthood, which is why Dion believes in legislation that will not only fund our schools but also programs that will help our children retain the information, and bring them up to speed.

It is important that we hold our police to the same standards that we hold our citizen. Too many lives have been lost due to excessive force, dangerous high speed chases, and full on neglect. That is why Dion believes in legislation that will hold our officers accountable when they step out of line. Which in turn would not only curb police brutality, but also make sure our communities are protected .
